BYOD at Queen’s High School
Queen’s High School is committed to using technological innovation in both teaching and learning. We recognise that there are a number of benefits with regards to using a variety of eLearning experiences in the classroom on a regular basis. These can include improved motivation and engagement, greater independence and personalised learning, improved critical thinking, greater access to information, resources and experts and allowing a greater opportunity for collaboration in a wider context than just the classroom.
Students at Queen’s High School are able to bring and use their own electronic device for learning where appropriate, though currently it is not compulsory to do so and their use is at the discretion of the classroom teacher. As a school, we believe that no one device fits all learners, therefore students have a wide range of options to choose from when selecting a device for their learning. We recommend that you seek expert advice before purchasing any device for your daughter
All students are required to sign a contract agreeing to abide by the rules and regulations around the use of electronic devices and network access. Our Cybersafety Student Use Agreement is available by following the link below or in hardcopy from the school office. This must be completed before a student is allowed to use their personal device in the classroom.
